QUALIFYING EXAMINATION FOR ADMISSION TO THE RASHTRIYA INDIAN MILITARY COLLEGE, DEHRADUN FOR THE TERM JANUARY-2020

Rashtriya Indian Military College has issued Notification for the Entrance Examination for admission to VIII Class in the R.I.M.C., Dehradun for the Term January-2020.

The Examination will be held on 01/06/2019 (Saturday) and 02/06/2019 (Sunday) at Vijayawada. Only Boys are eligible for admission to the RIMC Examination. Candidates appearing for the above test should not be less than 111/2 years in age but should not have attained the age of 13 years as on 01/01/2020 i.e., they should not be born earlier than 02/01/2007 and not later than 01/07/2008.

The candidate should either be studying in Class VII or passed Class VII from any recognized School at the time of admission to RIMC i.e., on 01/01/2020 exclusively from the state of Andhra Pradesh consisting of 13 Districts only.

The prospectus-cum-application and previous question papers can be obtained directly from The Rashtriya Indian Military College,

Garhi Cantt, Dehradun,

through speed post by forwarding self addressed slip and an account payee bank demand draft of Rs. 600/-for General candidates and Rs.555/- for ST/SC candidates along with Caste Certificate.

The Demand Draft will be made in favour of “The Commandant, R.I.M.C Dehradun, Drawee Branch, State Bank of India, Tel Bhavan (Bank Code No.01576), Dehradun, Uttarakhand”.

The address should be Typed/Written clearly in capital letters with pin code and contact number. RIMC will not be responsible for any postal delay or loss in transit of prospectus caused by illegible or incomplete address.

Written Examination:-

The written part of the examination consists of three subjects i.e

English (125 Marks),

Mathematics (200 Marks), and

General Knowledge (75 marks).

Maths and General knowledge papers may be answered either in Hindi or in English. To qualify, a candidate must obtain a minimum of 50 % marks in each subject.

B.Viva Voce :-

The oral examination consists of a Viva Voce test of 50 marks, which is designed to assess a candidate's intelligence, personality and confidence. The minimum passing marks will be 50%.

C.Medical Examination :-

All the candidates qualified after interview will undergo a medical examination at selected Military Hospital and only those candidates found medically fit will be considered for selection and admission to the RIMC. Medical Examination of the candidates forms only a part of the system of selection and does not guarantee the final selection.
