School Education — Academic Year 2025-26 – Engagement of 1,146 Academic instructors in Govt/ZPP/MPP/Municipality and Municipal Corporation Schools in the state for a period of 5 months- Permission Accorded-Instructions Issued.

ORDER:

1. The attention of all the District Educational Officers in the state are invited to the reference read above and they are informed that Government have permitted to engage (1,146) Academic Instructors (892 School Assistants and 254 SGTs) for the academic year 2025-26 purely on a temporary basis with the honorarium of Rs.12,500/- per month for School Assistants and Rs.10,000/- per month for SGTs, for a period of six months from November-2025 to April-2026, duly meeting the required expenditure/budget of Rs. 8,21,40,000/- from Samagra Shiksha funds, under the appropriate intervention.

2. In this regard, all the District Educational Officers in the State are requested to engage Academic Instructors on a temporary basis with an honorarium of ¥12,500/- per month for School Assistants and ¥10,000/- per month for SGTs for a period of five months from 08.12.2025 to 07.05.2026, in accordance with the guidelines annexed as Annexure–I. The school-wise and subject-wise details are enclosed as Annexure–II to these proceedings.

3. Further, all the District Educational Officers in the State are requested to issue necessary instructions to the field functionaries to call for applications for the respective posts at the Mandal level and to select the Academic Instructors as per the merit, strictly based on the guidelines annexed as Annexure–I, without fail. The selection process shall be completed by 06.12.2025, and the Academic Instructors shall join their respective schools on 08.12.2025 positively.

Annexure-I

GUIDELINES FOR ENGAGING THE SERVICES OF ACADEMIC INSTRUCTORS FOR THE ACADEMIC YEAR 2025–26

1. The Mandal Educational Officer (MEO) shall issue a press note indicating the number of Academic Instructors allotted to each school (school-wise, subject-wise, and medium-wise).
2. Eligible candidates willing to work as Academic Instructors shall submit their applications at the MRC on or before 05.12.2025.
3. In turn, MEOs will submit all the received applications to District Educational Officers concerned.

4. The District Educational Officers are requested to Identify and Select the Candidates based on Merit. Merit shall be considered based on academic and professional qualification marks in a 75:25 ratio.

Note: Preference shall be given to candidates who are natives of the village/Mandal.

5. At District Level, the following committee will be constituted and select the candidates school-wise and subject-wise:

  • District Collector- Chairman
  • District Educational Officer- Member- Convenor
  • DIET Principal/ Deputy Educational Officer: Member
6. After approval of selected candidates from District Collector, communicate the list of selected candidates to the respective School Management Committees (SMCs) through concerned Mandal Educational Officers for engaging Academic Instructors.
7. The process of engaging Academic Instructors shall be completed by 07.12.2025.
8. The services of Academic Instructors shall be engaged from 08.12.2025 to 07.05.2026 (5 months) in the schools. Their services are purely temporary and shall automatically cease from 08.05.2026.
9. All selected Academic Instructors shall open bank accounts in any nationalized bank and furnish the bank name and account number to the concerned MEO.
10. The honorarium shall be paid strictly as per rules by crediting the amount directly into their bank accounts through online mode.
11. All MEOs shall submit the attendance details of Academic Instructors working in their respective Mandals to the APC, Samagra Shiksha offices by the 2nd of every month without fail. If any MEO fails to submit the attendance by the 2nd, action will be initiated against such MEOs.
12. The honorarium of Academic Instructors shall be transferred from the APC, Samagra Shiksha Office directly to their bank accounts by every month, based on attendance submitted by the concerned MEOs.
