The attention of all the Municipal Commissioners of ULBS, where Municipal Schools exists, in the State are invited to the references cited and informed that in the reference 2nd cited while enclosing the list of proposed schools for CBSE Affiliation, the Government, School Education Dept., has requested the Head of the Departments to examine the tentatively proposed schools and take necessary steps for affiliation of eligible schools to CBSE through School Affiliation Re-engineered Automation System (SARAS) of CBSE (http://saras.cbse.gov.in/SARAS/Home/CatRedirection). Further, it was also informed that the affiliation fees i.e., Rs.50,000/- for five years pertaining to State Govt./MPP/ZPP/KGBVS etc.

Further, the School Education Department has conducted a coordination and convergence meeting with all line Departments and requested to go through the Affiliation Bye-laws of Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and the process for affiliation of eligible schools as per the norms through School Affiliation Re-engineered Automation System (SARAS) of CBSE website (http://saras.cbse.gov.in/SARAS/Home/CatRedirection). Further, the School Education Dept., has also suggested that every department to initiate the affiliation process with one pilot school of the Department concerned to have a firsthand experience, awareness on the documents/data required for upload and other issues if any regarding online submission of application.

In the reference 5th cited, the Director, School Education, A.P., Ibrahimpatnam has informed that Col V. Ramulu, I.Po.S, Secretary (FAC), APREIS was nominated as a single point of contact from the School Education Department to coordinate with the Competent Authority, CBSE and other line departments.

In this regard, it is informed that as per information received from the ULBS, 71 Municipal Schools (List enclosed as Annexure) have eligibility i.e., required land etc., for affiliation of CBSE and reported the same to the School Education Department for further action. The School Education Department has requested to go through the procedure for CBSE affiliation available in SARAS (School Affiliation Re-engineered Automation System) and take necessary steps for affiliation of eligible Municipal Schools to CBSE.

Therefore, all the Commissioners of the ULBS, where Municipal Schools exists, in the State are requested to go through the Affiliation Bye-laws of Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and the process for affiliation of eligible schools as per the norms through SARAS (School Affiliation Re engineered Automation System of CBSE (http://saras.cbse.gov.in/SARAS/ Home/CatRedirection) and initiate necessary actions for affiliation of eligible Municipal Schools to CBSE in coordination with School Education Depart without further delay. The expenditure for the CBSE affiliation of Mur Schools shall be met from the Municipal General Funds.

All the RDMAS in the State are requested to guide the Commissioners in this regard and ensure the above instructions are complied with by the Commissioners without fail.
