📢 Teaching Recruitment in Type-III KGBVs (Contract Basis) – Academic Year 2026-27

Samagra Shiksha, Department of School Education, invites online applications from eligible women candidates only for the posts of Principal, Post Graduate Teacher (PGT), Contract Residential Teacher (CRT), Physical Education Teacher (PET) in 352 Type-III KGBVs across Andhra Pradesh (excluding East Godavari, Dr. B.R.A. Konaseema, West Godavari, Krishna and Guntur districts).
⚠️ This notification is subject to the outcome of court cases pending before the Hon’ble High Court of Andhra Pradesh.

👩‍🎓 Age Limit (as on 01-07-2025)

• Minimum 18 years – Maximum 45 years (General).
• SC/ST/BC/EWS: Max 50 years.
• Differently abled: Max 52 years.
• Ex-service women: Max 45 years.

📜 TET Qualification (Mandatory for most posts)

• Principal, CRTs (all subjects), PGTs (General subjects): Must have passed APTET / Teacher Eligibility Test.
• Not required for PET and PGTs (Vocational subjects).

🎓 Educational Qualifications Summary

🏫 Principal

✔️ Post Graduate Degree (50% OC / 45% BC / 40% SC/ST/Differently abled) + B.Ed / M.A Education with same minimum marks from UGC recognized university.

📚 Post Graduate Teachers (PGTs)

✔️ Master’s Degree in relevant subject + B.Ed (Methodology in concerned subject). Minimum marks: 50% (OC), 45% (BC), 40% (SC/ST/Differently abled).
Vocational PGTs (A&T, CSE, PSTT, MLT, MPHW, GFC etc.) – specific qualifications as per detailed annexure (e.g., M.Com Taxation, B.E/B.Tech CSE, B.Sc Nursing, etc.)

📖 Contract Residential Teachers (CRT)

✔️ Bachelor’s Degree with relevant subject combination + B.Ed with methodology (minimum marks as per category). For Telugu/Hindi/English/Maths/Science/Social Studies – specific subject norms.
✔️ CRT Physical Science / Biological Science: degree with respective sciences + B.Ed in Science methodology.

🏃‍♀️ Physical Education Teacher (PET)

✔️ Intermediate or Bachelor’s Degree + UGD P.Ed / B.P.Ed / M.P.Ed (NCTE recognized) with required percentage. Differently abled persons not eligible for PET.

🏅 Merit Calculation & Weightage System

For Principal & PGT (100 marks)

• SSC – 20 marks
• Intermediate – 10 marks
• Bachelor’s Degree – 20 marks
• Master’s Degree – 30 marks
• B.Ed / M.A (Education) – 20 marks

For CRTs (100 marks)

• SSC (20) + Inter (20) + Bachelor’s (30) + B.Ed (30)

For PET (100 marks)

• SSC (20) + Intermediate (40) + UGD P.Ed/B.P.Ed (40)

Tie-breaking order: Elder candidate (DOB) gets higher rank. If same DOB, priority as per community: ST > SC > BC-A > BC-B > BC-C > BC-D > BC-E > OC.

💰 Application fee + Processing charges: ₹300/- (pay through gateway of Commissioner of School Education, AP).

• Online application starts: 27.05.2026 | Closing: 05.06.2026
• Upload all required documents — applications without relevant documents will be rejected.
• One candidate can apply in only one district.

🏢 District Level Selection Committee & Reservation

Chairman: Collector & District Magistrate; Convener: Additional Project Coordinator, Samagra Shiksha. Committee verifies certificates, prepares final merit list, issues appointment orders.

Rule of Reservation: As per AP State Subordinate Service Rules, GOs issued (G.O Ms.No.77 & G.O.Ms.No.7). Roster points will be provided by State office. All posts for women candidates of respective communities. Non-availability guidelines strictly followed (ST→SC→BC groups→OC etc.).

⚠️ Important Disclaimers & Ineligibility

• Those terminated earlier from KGBVs on disciplinary grounds / misappropriation are NOT eligible.
• Candidates pursuing final year (Degree/PG/B.Ed) in 2025-26 are not eligible.
• Intentionally claiming higher marks leads to permanent debarment from all government jobs.
• No right to regularization or enhancement of honorarium. Contract purely temporary for one academic year.
• Performance evaluation: results, lesson plans, behaviour – poor performance may lead to termination without notice.
