National Deworming Day is proposed to be conducted for children in the 1–19 years age group in all 28 districts of Andhra Pradesh.

Instructions to District Educational Officers (DEOs)

1. Coordinate with District Medical and Health authorities and ensure effective implementation of NDD in all Government and Private Schools in the district.
2. Conduct a virtual meeting with Private Schools Associations and their members regarding implementation of NDD before 24-09-2026.
3. Issue necessary instructions to Mandal Educational Officers (MEOs) for implementation at mandal and school level.

Instructions to Mandal Educational Officers (MEOs)

1. Conduct a meeting with Government and Private School Headmasters to finalise the drug indent based on eligible student strength and ensure participation in drug distribution at respective PHCs before 24 September 2026.
2. Ensure schools in tribal areas attend NDD training and collect sufficient quantity of drugs before NDD. Teachers/HMs should coordinate with ANMs regarding training and drug distribution.
3. Private Educational Institutions should conduct a special assembly session on 24-09-2026 and ensure that information about drug administration is communicated to parents through the school diary.
4. All Government and Private Schools should collect drugs from the PHC Medical Officer according to their student strength before 24-09-2026.
5. All Government and Private Schools should conduct Deworming Day on 25-09-2026 after the Mid Day Meal programme. MEOs should report to the District Collector regarding institutions that conducted the NDD programme.
