Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) has issued Notification No. 06/2026 for the Departmental Tests – November 2026 Session.

Notification Highlights

Application & OTPR

• First-time applicants must complete One-Time Profile Registration (OTPR) on the APPSC website.
• After OTPR registration, a User ID will be generated and sent to the registered mobile number and email ID.
• Candidates who already have an OTPR ID can use the same ID and should update their working district as per the new 26 districts before submitting the application.
• Only online applications are accepted. Handwritten, typed, photocopied or outside-printed application forms are not accepted.

Scheme of Examination

All tests except specified Language and Survey Tests are conducted in objective mode. Objective papers are held as Computer Based Departmental Tests.

Conventional Papers

Language Test papers (including P.C. Nos. 5, 6, 7, 19, 28, 36, 49, 67, 37, 58 and 74) and specified Survey & Settlement papers are conducted in conventional mode. Candidates are supplied barcode answer books and should answer using blue or black pen.

Time Table, Syllabus & Qualifying Marks

• The detailed time table is available in Annexure-II on the APPSC website.
• The syllabus and list of books allowed for each test are available on the Commission website.
• Qualifying marks for each Test/Paper are shown in Annexure-III.

Examination Centres – 26 Districts

Departmental Tests will be conducted in all 26 districts of Andhra Pradesh. Candidates are normally allotted the district where they are presently working. If accommodation is insufficient, they may be allotted a nearby district.

Eligibility

• Employees of the Government of Andhra Pradesh may apply for tests prescribed in their respective Departmental Service Rules.
• Secretariat employees may appear for certain tests where the relevant rules permit appointment by transfer or promotion.
• Certain tests have department-specific eligibility conditions and candidates should verify the relevant Service Rules before applying.
• Some paper codes are open to all applicants, whether in Government Service or not, as specified in the notification.

Special Conditions for Certain Tests

• Applicants for Divisional Test and Mines & Geology Paper Code 150 may need to upload a duly signed service certificate with the controlling officer’s seal.
• Commerce graduates claiming exemption from Paper-I of Part-I of Divisional Test should upload the relevant degree certificate.
• Applicants for Criminal Judicial Test claiming exemption based on Law qualification should upload the Law degree certificate.
• Deputy Inspectors Test applicants have to appear for all three papers in the first attempt; in later attempts papers may be taken separately.
• Special language and translation tests have specific language-option rules; candidates should select the required language correctly in the application.

Fee & Payment

• Fee must be paid online through the available payment gateway using Net Banking / Credit Card / Debit Card.
• Fee once paid will not be refunded or adjusted.
• IPO / Demand Draft are not accepted for application fee payment.
• Corrections are charged at ₹100 per correction. Changes are not permitted for Name, Personal Details and Fee.

How to Apply – Step by Step

1. STEP-I: New applicants must create an OTPR ID. Existing applicants may proceed with their existing OTPR ID.
2. STEP-II: Login to the APPSC website with OTPR ID and password and select “Online Application Submission”.
3. STEP-III: Check all pre-filled data and enter notification-specific details carefully.
4. STEP-IV: Open the payment link against Notification No. 06/2026 and verify the fee-related details before payment.
5. STEP-V: After successful payment, note the Payment Reference ID, complete the remaining application fields and submit the form. Save/print the Application Receipt.
6. STEP-VI: If the payment process fails, start a fresh payment process as instructed by APPSC.

Photo & Signature Requirements

• Photo: JPEG, 3.5 cm × 4.5 cm, less than 50 KB.
• Signature: JPEG, 3.5 cm × 1.5 cm, less than 30 KB.

Application Rejection – Common Reasons

• Failure to upload Photo / Signature.
• Failure to pay the required examination and application fee.
• Failure to upload required service certificate, where applicable.
• Application not submitted as per the notification instructions.
• Applicant not eligible under the relevant eligibility provisions.
• Applying during a debarment period.

Results & Memorandum of Marks

• Results will be displayed by APPSC and hosted on its official website.
• No individual Pass Certificate will be issued.
• Unsuccessful candidates may apply for Memorandum of Marks within the prescribed period and fee conditions mentioned in the notification.
• Recounting is available only for Conventional Type written tests, subject to the prescribed fee and time limit.
• Revaluation of answer sheets is not permitted.
