COVID 19 Pandemic – Utilization of Schools/ Educational Institutions as COVID Care Centres /Quarantine Centres Instructions
The attention of under mentioned officers are invited to the references cited
and informed that, after the steady decline in COVID-19 cases for about 5
months, for the last few weeks, there are alarming reports about the spread of
COVID and the number of COVID cases is showing an increasing trend across the
country with high positivity rate.
Keeping in view the fresh surge of cases and upcoming festivals, the
Department of School Education, A.P in coordination with the Health, Medical and
Family Welfare Dept and other line departments and District Collectors
concerned ensure strict compliance of the instructions/guidelines/SoPs for all
activities in the schools issued by the Union/ State Governments and to strictly
enforce COVID appropriate behavior, such as wearing of face masks, hand
hygiene and social distancing among people.
In view of the above, the under mentioned officers are requested to take
necessary action in consultation with the District Collectors and District Medical
Health Officers (DMHOs) concerned on utilization of the following
Schools/Educational Institutions as COVID care centres/Quarantine centers, if
required based on the assessment of situation in the matter immediately.
The girl students in the AP Model Schools who are staying in the hostels
attached to model schools shall be shifted to the nearby KGBVs. The Director,
Govt. Examinations shall ensure that not to constitute SSC examination center in
the said identified schools
