O R D E R:All the District Educational Officers and Additional Project Coordinators of Samagra Shiksha in the State are informed that the State government is prioritizing foundational literacy and numeracy as part of aligning with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and other key frameworks. This focus on early childhood care and education (ECCE) is crucial for ensuring that children develop essential skills at a young age.

In this context a comprehensive initiative aimed at enhancing the skills of Grade 1 and 2 teachers through a structured 60-day certificate course. This collaboration between the Department of School Education, Samagra Shiksha, and ASER (Pratham) emphasizes a blended learning approach, combining both offline and online training methods. This flexibility can help accommodate various teaching environments and learning styles, ultimately aiming to improve the quality of education in early grades over the course of three years.

Accordingly, a comprehensive training initiative is take-up by the department for enhancing the teaching skills among the secondary teachers. The 60-day certificate course (Gnana Prakash) for Year 1 has been completed successfully and it is proposed to initiate the Year 2 trainings for 208 Key Resource Persons (KRPs), 2000 District Resource Persons (DRPs) and 34000 Secondary Grade Teachers (SGTs). In the Year 2 training Play Based Pedagogy, English, Math Games, Community Engagement, Age-Appropriate Assessments and Inclusive Education. KRPs will be trained in the first phase at state level and DRPs will be trained at Regional Level and SGTs will be trained at district level for Year 2 Ghana Prakash Certificate Course.

As part of this Year 2 training the KRPs number has been increased from 104 to 208 to ensure quality of the training in cascade mode and the identified 208 KRPs list is with the district administration.

In this regard all the Regional Joint Directors of School Education, District Educational Officers, Additional Project Coordinators are instructed issue the necessary proceedings and instruct the MEOs to depute the 208 KRPs and relieve them for the Year 2 Ghana Prakash certificate course training scheduled from 19.05.2025 to 24.05.2025 for 6 days in residential mode at Maris Stella College, NH16, Service Road, Beside INOX LEPL Icon – Patamata, Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh.

The district Educational Officer and Additional Project Coordinator of NTR district are instructed to depute their team to facilitate the smooth conduct and successful completion of the 6-day Year 2 KRPs training in residential mode, to be held at Maris Stella College, NH16 Service Road, beside INOX LEPL Icon, Patamata, Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh, in coordination with the venue vendor.
