Imagine you are the young man in the story ‘The Journey’ and write a diary entry expressing your guilt after reaching your place of work.

5th Sept. 2023

Dear diary,

Today I have made a big mistake. I allowed father to carry my trunk.  My education, my while-collar job and my pride stopped me from carrying my luggage.  Another thing is my guilty feeling.  I have no dignity of
labour.  I only have false prestige.  I could not stop father from carrying my trunk.  Father walked the pebble-strewn hilly road bare feet.  I did not even notice that.  I felt very much guilty when he asked for my old pair of sho
es.   I should not have allowed him to carry my luggage. I should have shared his burden.
I should follow dignity of labour hereafter.  Otherwise, all my education and my officer job is a waste.
The young man

I want to get success in my life. And to get it you should be creative, intelligent, hard¬ working. You’ll never get success if you wait for someone to bring it to you. You have to get up and get it yourself.

I also hope to go to university and get a degree.

A lot of my friends plan to go abroad and start their career there. Some of them do not want to return home. As for me, I would like to have an interesting job in my country. I hope to have a successful career.
