Golden Jubilee Scholarship Scheme- 2024 – ONLINE APPLICATION

LIC Golden Jubilee Foundation was established on 20.10.2006, and registered with Charity Commissioner under Bombay Public Trust Act 1950 with the objective of promoting education, health, relief of poverty or distress and advancement of other objects of general public utility.

To achieve these objectives, the foundation works with human and capital resources received from LIC.

LIC GOLDEN JUBILEE SCHOLARSHIP SCHEME – 2024 FOR STUDENTS BELONGING TO THE ECONOMICALLY WEAKER SECTIONS, FOR PURSUING HIGHER STUDIES.

1. OBJECTIVE

The objective of the scheme is to award scholarships to meritorious students belonging to Economically Weaker Sections, so as to provide them with better
opportunities for higher education and employment.

2. SCOPE

The scholarship is to be awarded for students studying in India in a Government or Private college/university. It shall also cover technical and vocational courses in Industrial Training Institutes/ Industrial Training Centres affiliated with the National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT) and also Integrated Courses after XII Std. Scholarships shall be of two types; General Scholarship and Special Scholarship for Girl Child.

3. ELIGIBILITY

Candidates who meet following criteria are eligible to apply for scholarship.

[A]. General Scholarship
a) – After Class 12th (XII):

1. All candidates who have passed Class XII exam (or its equivalent – Regular/Vocational) / Diploma with at least 60% marks or equivalent CGPA grade in the Academic Year 2021-22/2022-23/2023-24, and

2. Have taken admission in the academic year 2024-25 for pursuing first year degree course in the field of Medicine, Engineering, Graduation in any discipline, Integrated Courses, Diploma Course in any field or other equivalent courses, Vocational Courses through Government recognized Colleges /Institutes or courses in Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs), and

3. Have parents/guardian with an annual income (from all sources) not exceeding Rs.2,50,000 per annum (please refer clause 7 (ii) – for relaxation).

b) – After Class 10th (X):

1. All candidates who have passed Class X exam (or its equivalent) with at least 60% marks or equivalent CGPA grade in the Academic Year 2021-22/2022-23/2023-24, and
2. Have taken admission in the academic year 2024-25 for pursuing first year education in the field of Vocational / Diploma Courses through Govt. recognized colleges/institutions or courses in Industrial Training Institutes (ITI), and Golden Jub ilee Foundation
3. Have parents/guardian with an annual income (from all sources) not exceeding Rs.2,50,000 per annum. (Please refer clause 7 (ii) – for relaxation).

[B]. Special Scholarship for Girl Child (For Two Years)

1. Female Candidates who have passed Class X exam (or its equivalent) with at least 60% marks or equivalent CGPA grade in the Academic Year 2021-2022/2022-23/2023-24, and

2. Have taken admission in the academic year 2024-25 for pursuing higher studies in the first year of Intermediate/10 + 2 pattern/ Vocational or Diploma Courses through Government recognized colleges/ institutions or courses in Industrial Training Institutes (ITI) for two years, and

3. Have parents/guardian with an annual income (from all sources) not exceeding Rs. 2,50,000 per annum. (please refer clause 7 (ii) – for relaxation).

4. DURATION

Scholarship shall be provided for the entire duration of the course under General Scholarships and for two years under Special Girl Scholar, subject to the candidate fulfilling requisite eligibility conditions for renewal.

5. AMOUNT OF SCHOLARSHIP

[A]. General Scholarship

a) An amount of Rs.40,000/- per annum, will be awarded to the selected Scholar who pursues higher education in the field of Medicine (MBBS, BAMS, BHMS, BDS) and shall be payable every year in two instalments Rs.20000/- each during the duration of the course, subject to eligibility.

b) An amount of Rs.30,000/- per annum, will be awarded to the selected Scholar who pursues higher education in the field of Engineering (BE, BTECH, BArch) and shall be payable every year in two instalments of Rs.15000/- each during the duration of the course, subject to eligibility.

c) An amount of Rs.20,000/- per annum will be awarded to the selected Scholars who pursues education in the field of Graduation in any discipline, Integrated Courses, Diploma Course in any field or other equivalent courses, Vocational Courses through Government recognized Colleges /Institutes or courses in Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) and shall be payable every year in two
instalments of Rs.10000/- each during the duration of the course, subject to eligibility.

[B]. Special Scholarship for Girl Child

An amount of Rs. 15,000/- per annum will be awarded to selected Girl Child for Special Scholarship after class 10th for pursuing higher studies in Intermediate/10 + 2 pattern/ Vocational or Diploma Courses through Government recognized colleges/ institutions or courses in Industrial Training Institutes (ITI) for two years and shall be payable every year in two instalments of
Rs.7500/- each during the duration of the course, subject to eligibility.

After submitting the online application, the candidate will receive an acknowledgement email at the email address provided in the application. The Divisional Office of LIC mentioned in the acknowledgement email will handle any further correspondence. Candidate should ensure they provide correct and valid email address and contact number as these may be needed for future

INSTRUCTIONS TO CANDIDATES WHO ARE SUBMITTING ONLINE APPLICATION FOR GOLDEN JUBILEE SCHOLARSHIP SCHEME-2024

1. For eligibility criteria & other details please refer GJF Scholarship Scheme 2024.
2. Only online applications are accepted. Please do not send hard copies of online applications as it is not required and shall not be considered.
3. All fields are mandatory; please do not leave any field blank else application will not get submitted.
4. Students, who have passed their exams under CBSE or any other Board having Grading System, should enter the percentage equivalent to the grades allotted by the Board while filling up the relevant columns in the application.
5. Please ensure that Bank details are accurate and the bank account is active. The scholarship shall be credited to the bank account of selected candidates by NEFT.
6. Please provide active Mobile Number and valid email id for all future communications. There will not be any other mode of communication.
7. Please upload the result of last qualifying exam and proof of current academic year admission.
8. In case you face any browser issues while submitting the online application, kindly clear the browsing history, cookies & cache memory and try again.
9. Kindly check whether you have filled up all the information correctly before clicking on the submit button.
10. Once online application is submitted, the candidate will receive an acknowledgement on his/her E-mail Id with application number and address of our Division Office for further communication.
11. The applications received till the last date, will be processed by the respective Divisional Offices of LIC in the order of merit based on percentage of marks obtained in last qualifying exam. Candidates who meet the required criteria will be shortlisted. Detailed instruction for submitting the application and supporting documents in physical form will be emailed to
these candidates only.
12. LIC Golden Jubilee Foundation reserves the right to accept/reject applications as per the laid down criteria for selection and no enquiry/requests shall be entertained in this regard.
