All the Regional Joint Directors of School Education, District Educational Officers in the State are hereby informed that the Government of Andhra Pradesh is set to host a major celebration for the 11th International Day of Yoga on June 21, 2025, at Visakhapatnam being the primary venue. This year’s celebration holds special significance as it coincides with the 10th anniversary of the United Nations General Assembly’s declaration of International Day of Yoga. The occasion will be marked by the gracious presence of the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India at the main state-level event in Visakhapatnam.

Further, informed that the Government of Andhra Pradesh has been launched a month-long campaign titled “YOGANDHRA”. The campaign includes phased activities at the District, Mandal, institutional, and village levels, aiming for large-scale mobilization and community participation. The theme for this year’s International Yoga Day is “Yoga for One Earth, One Health.”

In this regard, a comprehensive Action Plan outlining the schedule of training, awareness, and celebration activities YOGANDRA Month wise 2025, culminating in the grand observance on 21^st June 2025. The action plan details are as follows,

Therefore, all the Regional Joint Directors of School Education and District Educational Officers in the State are hereby instructed to take necessary steps for effective implementation and monitoring of activities as per the schedule mentioned above at District, Mandal, Village and Institutional levels and to coordinate with the concerned District Collector & Magistrate in their Districts for effective participation of the events.

Further they are also requested to issue necessary instructions to all the Field Officers / Headmasters of all Management Schools to take up the above suggestive activities as per the given schedule under YOGANDHRA-2025 in their respective schools and encourage the students to participate in the YOGA activities and celebrations of 11^th International Day of Yoga on 21^st, June-2025 duly following the following instructions.

Dr. K.V. Srinivasulu Reddy, DGE and Additional Director – IT, O/o Director of School Education, Government of Andhra Pradesh who appointed as a Nodal officer, YOGANDHRA-2025 for monitoring the YOGA activities under YOGANDHRA in the State for effective implementation.

The Nodal Officer, YOGANDHRA-2025 and the Secretary, APSGF are requested to take further necessary action to conduct the above said Yoga suggestive activities and celebrations of 11^th International Day of Yoga on 21^st June, 2025 in the schools in consultation with all the District Educational Officers in the State and submit compliance report to the undersigned without fail.
