Ref:

1. Final orders Dt.20.12.2024 of the Hon’ble High Court in WP No.3745 of 2020 and batch.

2. Orders Dt.01.09.2025 of the Hon’ble High Court in WA No.602 of 2025.

The attention of all the District Educational Officers in the state are invited to the reference cited and they are informed that in the reference 1^st cited, the Hon’ble High Court, A.P., Amaravati has passed final orders Dt.20.12.2024 in WP No.3745 of 2020 and batch as follows.

“in similar circumstances of this case, the Government issued G.O.Ms.No.144, dated 02.08.2016 for upgradation of Language Pundit Grade-II and Physical Education Teachers working in Zilla Parishad/ Government High Schools to the care of School Assistants by applying the principle of equal pay for equal work and also against the Special Rules vide G.O.Ms.No.15, dated 05.02.2017. Therefore, the impugned proceedings vide G.O.Ms.No.77, dated 30.10.2019 and G.O.Ms.No.56, dated 16.10.2020 is declared as illegal and arbitrary. Hence, same is hereby set aside. Further, a direction is given to the respondents to consider the case of the respective petitioners on upgraded posts as School Assistants (Language Pundit) with all consequential benefits, if any, within a period of three (03) months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.”

2. In the meantime, certain SGT candidates have filed W.A. No. 602 of 2025, aggrieved by the Common Order dated 20.12.2024 in W.P. No. 20126 of 2020. In this regard, The Hon’ble High Court of A.P., Amaravati, vide orders dated 09.05.2025 in W.A. No. 602 of 2025, directed as follows:

“Till the date of next hearing, status quo existing as on today in the matter shall be maintained.”

3. The said W.A. No. 602 of 2025 was listed on 18.07.2025 and 05.08.2025, wherein the Hon’ble High Court extended the interim order with the following direction:

“Interim order granted on the earlier occasion shall stand extended for a further period of three (03) weeks.”

4. Further, when the matter was listed on 01.09.2025, the Hon’ble High Court of A.P., Amaravati, passed the following orders in W.A. No. 602 of 2025:

“At request of learned counsel for the appellant, post the matter on 22.09.2025.”

5. In this regard, all the District Educational Officers in the State are hereby directed to take up promotions to the leftover Language Pandits on an ad-hoc basis in their present places of posting pending out come of WA No.602 of 2025, and to allot them permanent places in the ensuing Teacher Transfer Counselling, so as to streamline academic instruction in the middle of the academic year.

This may be treated as “Most Urgent” and “Time Bound”.
