LIC AAO 2025 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates who are planning to apply for the LIC AAO Recruitment 2025 Exam, the candidates need to fulfill the following eligibility criteria which are mentioned below:

Generalist	Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from a recognized Indian University/Institution
AAO(Chartered Accountant)	Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized Indian University/Institution and Candidate should have passed Final Examination of Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and completion of Articles as presented by Institute of Chartered Accountants of India
AAO(Company Secretary)	Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized Indian University/Institution and a Qualified Member of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI)
AAO (Actuarial)	Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from a recognized Indian University/Institution . Candidates should have passed at least 6 papers of the examination conducted by the Institute of Actuaries of India / Institute and Faculty of Actuaries, UK. as on the date of eligibility i.e. 1st August, 2025
AAO (Insurance Specialists)	Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from a recognized Indian University/ Institution and possessing professional qualification in Life Insurance (Fellowship of Insurance Institute of India (Life), having minimum experience of 5 years and above of working in Life Insurance Companies (regulated by IRDAI)
AAO (Legal)	Bachelor’s degree in Law from any University / College recognized by UGC with a minimum of 50% marks or equivalent in the aggregate of all semesters/years. For SC/ST and PwBD candidate minimum required marks shall be 45% in Bachelor’s degree in Law in the aggregate of all semesters/years, against vacancies reserved for such candidates

LIC AAO Age Limit (as on 01.08.2025)

For AAO Generalist, CS, Actuarial, Insurance Specialist- The age of the candidate must not be less than 21 years and must not exceed 30 years. Candidates born not earlier than 02.08.1995 and not later than 01.08.2004 both days inclusive only are eligible

For AAO Legal, CA- The age of the candidate must not be less than 21 years and must not exceed 32 years. Candidates born not earlier than 02.08.1993 and not later than 01.08.2004 both days inclusive only are eligible

LIC AAO Apply Online 2025

After the release of the official notification, the Life Insurance Corporation of India has started accepting online applications from eligible candidates at https://licindia.in/ from 16th August 2025 onwards. The candidates interested in the position of Assistant Administrative Officer (AAO) in LIC have to submit their online application form to get enrolled in the recruitment process.

As per the last year’s notification, candidates belonging to the SC/ST/PwBD category have to pay an application fee of Rs. 85 and other categories have to pay Rs. 700.

LIC AAO Recruitment 2025 Selection Process

LIC AAO Selection will be based on a three-phase examination i.e. Preliminary Examination (Phase I), Main Examination (Phase II) and Interview followed by a Pre-Recruitment Medical Examination. Marks obtained in the Main Examination and Interview will be considered for the final merit listing of candidates (Final Selection).

LIC AAO Recruitment 2025 Exam Pattern

LIC AAO is conducted in two phases: Prelims and Mains.

The marks obtained in the Preliminary Examination (Phase I) will not be added for the selection and the final selection will be based on the marks obtained by a candidate in Main Examination (Phase II) marks obtained in the Interview.

LIC AAO Prelims Exam Pattern

The Written Exam will contain 3 sections namely: Reasoning, English Language Language, and Quantitative Aptitude. The total duration of the written exam will be 1 hour or 60 minutes. The Preliminary Examination consisting of an objective test will be conducted online. There will be no negative marking for incorrect answers. The test will have three sections (with separate timings for each section) as follows:

LIC AAO Mains Exam Pattern

The main examination will consist of objective tests for 200 marks. The objective test will be online. The objective test will have separate timing for every section.

1. Descriptive tests of the English Language etc. will be of qualifying nature and the marks in the English Language will not be counted for ranking.
2. The candidates are required to qualify for each of the Tests. Candidates will have to qualify for each of the objective tests.
3. There will be no negative marks for wrong answers in the Objective tests for the main examination.

LIC AAO 2025 Syllabus

The Syllabus for LIC AAO 2025 exam includes Reasoning, Quantitative, General/Financial Awareness, English language, Professional knowledge, and current affairs. To get selected for the interview round, the candidate needs to qualify Mains exam with a minimum cut-off for which the candidate must be familiar with the subject-wise syllabus.

LIC AAO 2025 Salary Structure

The salary structure for LIC AAO has also been changed this year. The basic pay of Rs. 88635/- per month in the scale of Rs. 88635- 4385(14)-150025– 4750(4) –169025 and other admissible allowances as per rules. Total emoluments at the minimum of the scale inclusive of House Rent Allowance, City Compensatory Allowance etc wherever admissible depending upon the classification of the city will be approximate Rs 1,26,000 per month in A-Class city.
