1. D.O.No. HQ-160011(18)/1/2024-EU-I-HQ, Dated:05.08.2025,GOI, Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI), New Delhi.
2. Line lists of pending MBU School Children form School Education Department Dated: 13.08.2025.
It is informed that, in the reference 1st cited above, the UIDAI has requested to conduct Aadhaar special camp for MBU updation to School children.Further UIDIA has informed that,it has been observed that a large number of children between the ages of 5 and 15 years have not provided their core biometrics, resulting in MBU1 being pending. Similarly, many children have not updated their biometrics after attaining the age of fifteen years, leading to MBU2 being pending.
Due to this delay, there is often a sudden rush for biometric updates whenever biometric authentication is required, for example, while appearing for competitive examinations such as JEE or NEET. In the absence of timely biometric updates, many children are adversely impacted. Therefore, it is essential that both MBU1 and MBU2 are completed within the stipulated timelines. In this regard, the technology teams of UIDAI and the Department of School Education & Literacy, Government of India have jointly implemented a solution through the UDISE+ application, enabling all schools to view the list of students with pending MBUs.
As per the UDISE+ Portal, approximately 16 lakh+ children in Andhra Pradesh are required to undergo Mandatory Biometric Updates and the School Education Department has shared the line-lists of pending MBU school children in the reference 2nd cited above.
