No. F2/2021   dt: 02/11/2021 ** **Sub: Department of School Education – Directorate of Public Libraries, Andhra Pradesh – 54th National Library Week Celebrations from 14th November 2021 to 20 November 2021 To ensure participation of students and conduct of the programme in all the schools running under all managements – Instructions-Issued. ** **Ref:** Note Orders Dt 25-10-2021of the Director of School Education. Andhra Pradesh. **ORDER:** Attention of the all the Regional joint Directors of School Education and District Educational Officers in the state is drawn to the reference cited, wherein it is proposed to conduct 54th National Library Week Celebrations in all the Schools under the all managements, from 14th November to 20th November 2021, as every school is provided with the Library. Libraries are the knowledge hubs of society and books are the dreams that can be held in the hands. Printed literature, in the form of books, served greatly in igniting the spirit of freedom struggle and helped a lot in liberating the nation. As we are approaching the land mark of 75 years of Independence, the 54th National Library Week Celebrations are being celebrated in the national spirit Azadi Ki Amruth Mahotsav in a befitting manner. The schedule of the programme is as shown under. **14-11- 2021: Inaugural Function/Children’s day** **15-11-2021: Book Exhibition, Separate stalls with the books on Freedom fight and national leaders ** **16-11-2021 :  speeches of eminent personalities on Freedom fight and National Independence warriors** **17-11- 2021:  Kavisammelanam on Freedom movement.** **18-11-2021: Various competitions among the students on Freedom movement and  Painting Exhibition by students depicting freedom movement, ** **19-11-2021:  Part played by women in independence movement and conduct of competitions** **20-11-2021: Mass reading session under WE LOVE READING program and valedictory Function** In this connection, all the Regional Joint Directors of School Education and District Educational Officers in the state are hereby requested to issue instructions to Head Masters/Principals of the all Schools under the all managements to organize the 54th National Library Week Celebrations in every School without fall by conducting various competition like essay writing. debating, elocution, dance, drama, skits, drawing and painting on the topics of National Freedom Movement to the students. Further, they are requested to appoint the Deputy Educational Officers/Mandal Educational Officers in their respective districts as monitoring officers for successful organization of the National Library Week Celebrations. Further, the Regional Joint Directors of School Education and District Educational Officers in the state are requested to issue instructions to the Head Masters/Principals of all Schools under all managements to encourage the students and ensure more number of students take part in the competitions to be conducted in the nearest Branch Library of their Village/Town as the part of National Library Week Celebrations The receipt of the proceedings should be acknowledged.
