Pattern of Examination is as follows:

Mental Ability Test (M.A.T) – 90 marks multiple choice questions.

Scholastic Ability Test (S.A.T) – 90 marks covering social science, science and mathematics of class VII & VIII. Each question carry one mark

Qualifying percentage is as follows:

Gen 40% B.C 35% S.C/S.T/P.H 25%

The Govt vide G.O Rt No.713 dated 25/09/2008, permitted the Director of Government Examinations to collect Rs.100/- for O.C/B.C and Rs. 50/- from S.C/S.T towards examination fee.

The candidate’s parental income should be below Rs. 1,50,000/- p.a.

The awardee will receive a sum of Rs. 6000/- per annum for which the awardee shall have to open a joint account with their parents in any S.B.I or in any Nationalized Banks which has core banking facility/ESC facility. On providing the Bank account number list by the states, the Ministry for Human Resource Development, New Delhi will sanction the scholarships and send such list to the SBI, New Delhi for disbursement of scholarships to the awardees.

To award meritorious students who are studying in High Schools under Government/ Zilla Parishad/ Municipal /Private Aided Managements whose parental annual income is below Rs.1,50,000/-.
Scholarship:
Scholarships will be awarded on the basis of performance in examination to be held on 05-11-2017 from 10.00 A.M. to 1.00 P.M. in all revenue divisions in the state.
Reservation:
State reservation norms will be implemented for award of scholarships in each district (a caste certificate from Mandal Revenue Officer to be submitted by the candidate as proof in Original).
Eligibilty :

A Candidate who scored at least 55% of marks in class VII examination and been promoted to Class VIII for the academic session 2016-17. In respect of SC/ ST candidate they should has secured at least 50% or equivalent grade i.e., B+ grade for all categories.

sources is eligible to appear for the examination (an Income certificate from Mandal Revenue Officer has to be as proof In original). In case of Government employee salary certificate will be enough as a proof of income issued by the employer.
Examination :
It comprises two parts, namely (i) Mental Ability Test (MAT) and (ii) Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) covering social sciences, sciences and mathematics of classes VII & VIII. MAT &SAT will have 90 multiple choice questions each and each question will carry one mark. 30 minutes extra per each session will be provided for Physically disabled candidates.
Merit List: Merit list of candidates will be prepared for each District separately. The minimum qualifying marks for each paper will be 40% for General, 35% for BC category and 25% for SC/ST / Physically disabled to be eligible for award of scholarships.
