Sub:- School Education – Samagra Shiksha – Implementation of the Revamped PRASHAST App – Minutes of the Meeting held on 18.06.2026 regarding Screening Timelines and Demonstration of App Modules communicated by Government of India – Certain instructions – Issued.

Ref: = Email dated 03.07.2026 received from SS-18 Section, Department of School Education & Literacy, Ministry of Education, Government of India.

The attention of all the District Educational Officers and the Additional Project Coordinators, Samagra Shiksha in the State is invited to the reference cited, wherein the Department of School Education & Literacy, Ministry of Education, Government of India has communicated the Minutes of the Meeting held on 18.06.2026 regarding the implementation of the revamped PRASHAST 2.0 App, screening timelines, and demonstration of various app modules.

Accordingly, all the District Educational Officers, Additional Project Coordinators, Inclusive Education Coordinators, Headmasters, General Teachers, and Special Educators are hereby informed that the Government of India has directed the implementation of the revamped PRASHAST 2.0 App for the universal screening of Children with Special Needs (CwSN) in all recognised schools.

In this regard, all the concerned officers shall ensure strict adherence to the following timelines prescribed by the Government of India:

Further, all the District Educational Officers and Additional Project Coordinators shall:

  1. Disseminate these instructions and the enclosed Minutes to all concerned functionaries, including Inclusive Education Coordinators, Headmasters, General Teachers, and Special Educators.
  2. Ensure that all activities are implemented strictly as per the prescribed timelines.
  3. Closely monitor the screening process and the implementation of the revamped PRASHAST 2.0 App at the district, mandal, and school levels.
  4. Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and timely updation of school, teacher, and student data in the PRASHAST 2.0 App.
  5. Ensure that Part-I and Part-II screenings are completed within the stipulated schedule and that Individualised Education Plans (IEPs) are prepared for all identified Children with Special Needs (CwSN).
  6. Ensure timely planning of Assessment Camps through the PRASHAST App and facilitate eligible children for obtaining UDID certification through the Swabhiman App.
  7. Take all necessary follow-up action on the instructions communicated by the Government of India and ensure strict compliance.

All officers concerned shall closely monitor the progress of implementation and ensure completion of all activities within the stipulated timelines. Any delay or negligence in implementation shall be viewed seriously and responsibility will be fixed accordingly.

The receipt of these proceedings shall be acknowledged.
