Samagra Shiksha, AP –SALT –Conducting the Refresher training for KRPS residential mode from 28.05.2024 to 30.05.2024 (3 days ) and for DRP nonresidential trainings – from 01.06.2024 and 03.06.2024 ( 2 days) –Instructions

The Pratham has been selected as a consultant to provide technical support to the Samagra Shiksha State Implementation Society, Government of Andhra Pradesh, for strengthening foundational learning of children aged 3 to 8 as part of the SALT Program. As part of one of the deliverables, a 60-day certificate course for grade 1 and 2 teachers will be delivered. We have completed state-level Key Resource Person (KRP) and District Resource Person (DRP) training, where 2000 SGT teachers have been selected for both courses. And the trainings will be conducted from 03.06.2024.
In this regard, the Samagra Shiksha in coordination with the SCERT, AP is conducting 3-day refreshment residential training for KRPs will be held at the state level on 28.05.2024 to 30.05.2024 (3 days ) at Andhra Loyola College, Vijayawada, AP. and the KRPs who attended the said training was train 2000 District Resource Persons in two days (non-residential) on 01.06.2024 and 03.06.2024 ( 2days) with the following topics at 13 DIET Colleges in the state.
Topics covered during the above training : About age-appropriate tools package, domains wise demonstrations, characteristics of 0-3, 3-6 and 6-8 years, Brain development, Holistic development, Pedagogy (pre-math and situation on why children are facing problems in numeracy), Group discussion on how much content need to considered in classroom, Parental community,Implementation activities: On how grade 1 &2 teachers Training Calander, Awareness on Online platform, TLM preparation based on theme (on particular aspects for continuum) & Monitoring.

Games : Fun and energizing activities, Teamwork tasks, Treasure haunt, Musical chair, Competition on poems, &Special talent exhibitions The total number of KRPs to be trained across State of the state is tabulated below.
For DRP trainings at district level for 60-day certificate course 3 SGTs per Mandal, who dealing with class 1 and 2 are being selected and also identification of venues has been done by the panel committee.
For DRPs trainings are conducting at DIET’s
Accordingly, the roles and responsibilities at the district level are drawn as below:
1 The District Educational Ofcer where the venues all DIETs colleges is nominated as Chairman of the training programme and has to look after the smooth conduction of the DRP refresher trainings in coordination with DIET principals and AMOs
2 DIET is the nodal agency for academic training programmes on FLN and therefore, DIET principal where the venue is located is the nodal ofcer and will act as course director and monitor the training process with the support of concerned DIET faculty who attended KRP trainings.
3 All the DEO’s and APC’s are instructed to depute all the DRP’s to the respective DIET’s who attended/ participated in 60 days DRP training.
4 AMOs where the venues are located has to look after the logistics,arrangements and other essentials required at the venues timely.
