This is to inform that, as per the Government Orders and the directions of the Hon’ble Chief Minister, the third Saturday of every month is being observed as “Swachha Andhra Day” across all districts, ULBs, and Government institutions to promote the values of cleanliness, public hygiene, environmental sustainability and citizen participation.

It is hereby informed that, Swarna Andhra – Swachha Andhra Day shall be observed across all Gram Panchayats in the State on 15th November 2025, with the theme “Personal & Community Hygiene.” The objective of the theme is to promote awareness on personal cleanliness, community hygiene, and prevention of open defecation and urination, thereby improving overall community health and well-being.

All the Chief Executive Officers, Zilla Parishads and District Panchayat Officers in the state are instructed to ensure that the following activities are taken up in coordination with line departments and local bodies:

November 2025 “Personal & Community Hygiene”	Concept Communication: • Prevent open defecation and urination. • Promote good sanitation practices for community health.	• Improved school attendance, particularly among girl students. • Reduction in school dropouts. • Decrease in communicable diseases. • Reduction in child mortality rate. • Enhanced productivity and improved economic conditions for families.
	Field-level activities: • Conduct WASH awareness programs at Government and Educational Institutions.
	• Organize campaigns to prevent open urination and defecation.
	• Ensure all public toilets are clean, functional, and accessible — including gender-segregated and disabled-friendly facilities.

Further the Chief Executive Officers, ZPP and District Panchayat Officers are directed to issue necessary instructions to all concerned Officers i.e., DDOs, DLPOs, MPDOs, Dy MPDOs, to take up planning and coordination meetings well in advance and ensure participation of all line departments institutions, schools, and public representatives. The outcomes are to be documented and reported with photographs, video reels, and activity-wise metrics.
