Read: 1. G.O.Ms.No.26, School Education (Ser.I) Department, Dated: 12.06.2025. 2. G.O.Ms.No.27, School Education (Ser.I) Department, Dated: 12.06.2025. ORDER: The attention of all Regional Joint Directors of School Education, District Educational Officers, District School Educational Officers, and Additional Project Coordinators in the State is invited to the references cited above, wherein the Government has issued instructions for the implementation of the _Thalliki Vandanam_ Scheme across all schools under various managements in the State. The Thalliki Vandanam Scheme is a flagship initiative aimed at strengthening the connection between education and parental involvement, particularly emphasizing the role of mothers. Under this scheme, financial assistance is directly credited into the bank accounts of mothers or guardians of students studying from Grade I to Grade XII. The primary objectives of the scheme are to reduce the financial burden on families, promote regular school attendance, and encourage active parental engagement in the educational journey of their children. **The benefits of the Thalliki Vandanam Scheme include:** * Reducing financial burden on economically disadvantaged families, enabling them to meet educational expenses such as school fees, transportation, and learning materials. * Encouraging regular school attendance by alleviating economic pressures that often lead to dropouts or irregular attendance, especially among girls. * Promoting gender equity by placing mothers at the center of the educational empowerment process, acknowledging their vital role in shaping the future of their children. * Strengthening school–home partnerships by making parents active stakeholders in their children’s academic progress and overall development. * Fostering a culture of education where learning is valued and supported at home, contributing to improved literacy, retention, and holistic development. In this connection, it has been decided to conduct various competitions for students across all schools in the State. These competitions aim to celebrate and highlight the vital contributions of mothers in nurturing, guiding, and shaping the educational paths of their children. ### All RJDs/DEOs/DSEOs are hereby instructed to issue necessary directions to the MEOs and Headmasters under their jurisdiction: 1. To organize competitions on the theme: Role / Contribution of Mother in Children’s Education in all Government, Local Body, Residential, Aided, and Private Un-Aided schools. 2. All Competitions shall be commenced from 24.06.2025 and concluded by 28.06.2025. 3. The best-performing students are felicitated by local public representatives and officials at constituency level/ Mandal Level Events. 4. The best presentations/ projects will be shortlisted and showcased during the Mega PTM event scheduled to be held on 5th July, 2025.
