What is VeerGatha6?
Project Veer Gatha was introduced in 2021 under the Gallantry Awards Portal to spread awareness about acts of bravery, gallantry award winners and values such as patriotism and civic consciousness. Veer Gatha 6.0 (2026-27) continues the programme with creative, interdisciplinary and art-integrated activities for students across India.

Evaluation Process
Veer Gatha 6.0 has three evaluation levels: District Level, State/UT Level and National Level. Standard evaluation rubrics are prescribed for essay/paragraph, poem, multimedia presentation and painting.
VeerGatha6 Winners and Prize
- National Level: 100 winners (Super 100).
- Grades 3-5: 25 national winners.
- Grades 6-8: 25 national winners.
- Grades 9-12: 50 national winners, split between Grades 9-10 and 11-12.
- State/UT Level: 8 winners.
- District Level: 4 winners.
- Each national-level winner will receive a cash prize of ₹10,000 from the Ministry of Defence.
Andhra Pradesh – National Level Evaluation Entry Quota
As per Annexure II of the Veer Gatha 6.0 concept note, Andhra Pradesh is allotted 144 entries for National Level Evaluation. The total number stipulated across all listed States/UTs and organisations is 4,936.
