DRDO Scholarship: అమ్మాయిలకు ప్రతీ ఏడాది రూ.1,86,000 స్కాలర్‌షిప్… దరఖాస్తుకు మరో నెల రోజుల గడువు
అమ్మాయిలకు శుభవార్త.
డిఫెన్స్ రీసెర్చ్ అండ్ డెవలప్‌మెంట్ ఆర్గనైజేషన్-DRDO ప్రతీఏడాదిలాగే ఈసారి కూడా రూ.1,86,000 వరకు స్కాలర్‌షిప్ ప్రకటించిన సంగతి తెలిసిందే.
ఈ స్కాలర్షిప్స్కు దరఖాస్తు గడువు సెప్టెంబర్ 30న ముగిసింది. అయితే కరోనా వైరస్ మహమ్మారి కారణంగా అప్లై చేయలేని వారికి మరో అవకాశం ఇచ్చింది డీఆర్‌డీఓ.
దరఖాస్తు గడువును 2020 నవంబర్ 15 వరకు పొడిగించింది. అంటే మరో 45 రోజులు గడువును పొడిగించింది. కాబట్టి ఇప్పటివరకు ఈ స్కాలర్‌షిప్ స్కీమ్‌కు అప్లై చేయలేని విద్యార్థినులకు మరో నెల రోజులు అవకాశం ఉంది.
ఈ స్కీమ్ ద్వారా 20 అండర్ గ్రాడ్యుయేట్, 10 పోస్ట్ గ్రాడ్యుయేట్ స్కాలర్‌షిప్స్ అందిస్తోంది డీఆర్‌డీఓ. ప్రతిభ ఉన్న విద్యార్థినులు ఉన్నత విద్య అభ్యసించడానికి ఆర్థిక సమస్యలు అడ్డంకిగా మారితే ఈ స్కాలర్‌షిప్ స్కీమ్‌కు దరఖాస్తు చేయొచ్చు.
డీఆర్‌డీఓ స్కాలర్‌షిప్ స్కీమ్ భారతదేశానికి చెందిన అమ్మాయిలకు మాత్రమే వర్తిస్తుంది. విద్యార్థినులు మాత్రమే దరఖాస్తు చేయాలి. ఏరోస్పేస్ ఇంజనీరింగ్, ఏరోనాటికల్ ఇంజనీరింగ్, స్పేస్ ఇంజనీరింగ్, రాకెట్రీ, ఏవియానిక్స్, ఎయిర్‌క్రాఫ్ట్ ఇంజనీరింగ్ విభాగాల్లో డిగ్రీ లేదా పీజీ చదువుతున్నవారు అప్లై చేయొచ్చు.
డిగ్రీ స్కాలర్‌షిప్ పొందడానికి బీఈ, బీటెక్, బీఎస్సీ ఇంజనీరింగ్ మొదటి సంవత్సరం చదువుతున్న అమ్మాయిలు దరఖాస్తు చేయాలి. గ్రాడ్యుయేషన్‌లో కనీసం 60% మార్కులు, JEE (Main) స్కోర్ ఆధారంగా ఎంపిక చేస్తారు.
వారికి ఏటా రూ.1,20,000 వరకు నాలుగేళ్లు స్కాలర్‌షిప్ లభిస్తుంది. ఇక పీజీ స్కాలర్‌షిప్ కోసం ఎంఈ, ఎంటెక్, ఎంఎస్సీ ఇంజనీరింగ్ ఫస్ట్ ఇయర్ విద్యార్థినులు దరఖాస్తు చేయాలి.
వారికి రూ.1,86,000 వరకు రెండేళ్లు స్కాలర్‌షిప్ లభిస్తుంది. 2020-21 విద్యా సంవత్సరంలో గ్రాడ్యుయేషన్ లేదా పోస్ట్ గ్రాడ్యుయేషన్‌లో అడ్మిషన్ పొందినవారే స్కాలర్‌షిప్‌కు అప్లై చేయడానికి అర్హులు.
ఈ స్కాలర్‌షిప్ స్కీమ్‌కు సంబంధించిన పూర్తి వివరాలను డీఆర్‌డీఓ అధికారిక వెబ్‌సైట్‌లో https://drdo.gov.in/ లో తెలుసుకోవచ్చు. విద్యార్థినులు రిక్రూట్‌మెంట్ అండ్ అసెస్‌మెంట్ సెంటర్-RAC వెబ్‌సైట్ https://rac.gov.in/ లో అప్లై చేయాలి.
డీఆర్‌డీఓ స్కాలర్‌షిప్ ద్వారా విద్యాభ్యాసం చేసే విద్యార్థినుకులు డీఆర్‌డీఓ, ప్రభుత్వ ల్యాబరేటరీస్ లేదా AR&DB నిధులతో నడుస్తున్న సంస్థల్లో ఫైనల్ ఇయర్ ప్రాజెక్ట్ వర్క్ చేయాల్సి ఉంటుంది. స్కాలర్‌షిప్‌కు అర్హత సాధించిన విద్యార్థినులు అన్ని పరీక్షల్లో పాస్ కావాలి.

ఏరోస్పేస్ ఇంజనీరింగ్, ఏరోనాటికల్ ఇంజనీరింగ్, స్పేస్ ఇంజనీరింగ్, రాకెట్రీ, ఏవియానిక్స్, ఎయిర్‌క్రాఫ్ట్ ఇంజనీరింగ్ విభాగాల్లో చదువుతున్న అమ్మాయిలు ఈ స్కాలర్షిప్స్కు దరఖాస్తు చేయొచ్చు.
మొత్తం 30 మంది విద్యార్థులకు ఈ స్కాలర్‌షిప్స్ అందిస్తోంది డీఆర్‌డీఓ.
ఎంపికైన అమ్మాయిలకు ఏటా రూ.1,86,000 వరకు స్కాలర్‌షిప్ లభిస్తుంది.
బీఈ, బీటెక్, బీఎస్సీ ఇంజనీరింగ్ విద్యార్థినులు ఏటా రూ.1,20,000 వరకు నాలుగేళ్లు, ఎంఈ, ఎంటెక్, ఎంఎస్సీ ఇంజనీరింగ్ విద్యార్థినులు ఏటా రూ.1,86,000 వరకు రెండేళ్లు స్కాలర్‌షిప్ పొందొచ్చు
Selection Criteria
The selection for UG students will be done on the basis of merit obtained by them in JEE (Mains). However, the selection for PG students will be made on the basis of merit obtained in GATE examination.
RAC (Recruitment and Assessment Centre) of DRDO, Government of India is inviting applications from girls/women students studying in first-year under-graduate (B.E/B.Tech, full time) and first-year postgraduate (M.Tech/M.E, full time) courses for DRDO Scholarship Scheme for Girls 2020. The selected students will get a financial award of up to INR 1,86,000 per annum.
Eligibility
To be eligible for the scholarship, an applicant must:

Be an Indian national

Be a girl/women student pursuing UG/PG courses in Aerospace Engineering/ Aeronautical Engineering/ Space Engineering & Rocketry/ Aircraft Engineering/ Avionics for FY 2020-21

Fulfil the following conditions (for UG students):

Applicant must be enrolled in the first year of the relevant BE/BTech/BSc Engineering course at the time of application.

Applicant must have cleared JEE (Mains) and have a valid score for the same.

Fulfil the following conditions (for PG students):

Applicant must be enrolled in the first year of the relevant ME/MTech/MSc Engineering course at the time of application.

Applicant must have scored 60% marks or CGPA/CPI of 6.75 in graduation (BE/BTech/B.Engg).

Applicant must have a valid GATE score.
Benefits
The selected students will get the following benefits:

For UG students: A total of 20 scholarships will be given that include INR 1,20,000 per annum or annual fees, whichever is less for a maximum period of four years.

For PG students: A total of 10 scholarships will be given that include INR 1,55,000 to INR 1,86,000 per year for a maximum period of two years.
