SUMMER BREAK ACTIVITIES – GUIDELINES FOR TEACHERS

• Class teachers have to create Whats app groups with their class students.
• Ask them to maintain a notebook for summer activities and submit at the time of reopening.
• Keep in touch with the students and encourage them from time to time to monitor their activities.
• Gather students activities in the form of pics/videos/reports through Whats app group

• Music, Dance and Drama :

Select a music/dance/drama of their own culture or local tradition where a group of people (Peer/siblings/other family members) come together to develop the child’s aesthetic sense. Example: Folk or traditional songs/dance can be recorded from their area using some musical instruments involving their siblings, friends and family members.

ACTIVITY1 :Prepare a greeting card with a message and present it to your parents / friends / relatives on any important occasion. (సందేశంతో కూడిన గ్రీటింగ్ కార్డ్‌ని సిద్ధం చేసి, ఏదైనా ముఖ్యమైన సందర్భంలో మీ తల్లిదండ్రులు / స్నేహితులు / బంధువులకు అందించండి.)

ACTIVITY2 :

King Alphanso got down from his horse. He went to help the mule-driver. Both of them pulled and pushed until they succeeded in getting the mule on the firm ground. By this time they were covered with mud. A number of people had gather around them by that time and they stood by watching. Then someone recognised the King. People began to whisper to each other that it was the King himself who had helped the mule-driver. When the mule-driver heard this, he was very frightened. He turned i to him and begged for his forgiveness. Alphanso told that he had done his duty as a man. He may be a king but as a man he should help those who are in need. The
King thus put to shame all those passers-by who would not help. Answer the following questions.
1. How did King Alphanso help the mule-driver?

State whether the following statements are correct or incorrect. Correct those statements which
are wrong .

(i) When two positive integers are added ,we get a positive integer .
(ii) When two negative integers are added , we get a positive integer .
(iii) When a positive integer and a negative integer are added , we always get a negative integer .
(iv) Additive inverse of an integer ( -10) is 10 and additive inverse of 10 is (-10) .
(v) For subtraction , we add the additive inverse of the integer that is being subtracted to the other integer .

WE LOVE READING SUMMER ACTIVITIES 2024- TODAY MORAL STORY :మూడు చేపల కథ

ఒక ఊరి లో మంచి నీటి చెరువు ఉండే ది. దానిలో కొన్ని చేపలు ఉండే వి, వాటిలో మూడు చేపలు చాలా స్నేహం గా ఉండే వి.

అవి సుమతి, కాలమతి, మందమతి. అవి పేరుకు తగినట్లు వాటి ఆలోచనలు కూడా అలాగే ఉండే వి.

ఈ చేపలు చెరువు లో ఈదు కుంటూ హాయిగా కాలం గడిపేవి.

సుమతి ముందుచూపు తో రాబోయే ఆపద నుండి కాపాడుకో వాలి అనుకునేది. కాలమతి ఏదైనా ఆపద వచ్చినప్పుడు ఆలోచించేది. మందమతి పేరుకు దిగినట్లే ఏమీ ఆలోచించకుండా కాలం గడిపేది.

ఇది ఇలా ఉండగా ఒక వేసవి కాలంలో ఎండలు ఎక్కువ అయ్యా యి ఎండల తీవ్రత కు చెరువు లోని నీరు మొత్తం ఆవిరి అవుతున్నాయి.

రాబోయే విపత్కర పరిస్థితులను ముందుగా పసిగట్టిన సుమతి తన మిత్రులైన కాలమతి మందమతి వద్దకు వెళ్లి మిత్రులారా ఈసారి ఎండలు చాలా ఎక్కువగా ఉన్నాయి.

ఈ ఎండలకు చెరువు లోని నీరు మొత్తం తగ్గిపోయే ప్రమాదం ఉంది కాబట్టి ముందుగానే మనం ఈ చెరువును విడిచి ఊరి చివర లో ఉన్న పెద్ద చెరువు లోకి వెళదాము లేకపోతే జాలర్లు మనలను పట్టుకోవడానికి వస్తారు.

వారికి మనం సులభంగా దొరికే అవకాశం ఉంది అని చెప్పింది సుమతి. సుమతి మాటలకు కాలమతి, మందమతి హేళన గా నవ్వారు.

అప్పుడు సుమతి, వాటి కర్మ కు వాటిని వదిలేసి పెద్ద చెరువు లోకి వెళ్లి పోయింది.

సుమతి ముందుగా ఊహించినట్లే చెరువులోని నీరు ఎండల తాకిడికి నీళ్లు తగ్గిపోయాయి. కొన్ని నీళ్లు ఉండగానే జాలర్లు అక్కడికి వచ్చి చేపలు పట్టడానికి చెరువులోకి వల విసిరారు.

ఆ వలలో కాలమతి మందమతి చిక్కాయి. కాలమతి ప్రమాదాన్ని పసిగట్టి చచ్చినట్లు కదలకుండా ఉంది వలలో.

జాలరి కాలమతి ని చూచి ఈ చచ్చిన చేప నాకెందుకు అని చెరువులోకి విసిరాడు. బతుకు జీవుడా అనుకుని కాలమతి.

మందమతి మాత్రం ఏమీ ఆలోచించకుండా అక్కడనే ఉంది. ఆ చేపలు ఇంటికి తీసుకొని పోయి కూర వండుకు తిన్నాడు జాలరి.

Moral of the story:

నీతి : అందుకే ముందుగా ఏమి జరుగుతుందో ఆలోచించి ప్రమాదాల నుంచి కాపాడుకోవాలి. లేదంటే అనుకోని ప్రమాదాలు సంభవించినప్పుడు సమయస్ఫూర్తితో కష్టాలనుండి తప్పించుకోవాలి. అలా కానప్పుడు మందమతి లాగా కష్టాలను కొని తెచ్చుకున్నట్లే .

 

WE LOVE READING SUMMER ACTIVITIES 2024- TODAY ENGLISH  MORAL STORY :   Clever Rabbit & Foolish Lion

Terro Lion was a very proud lion. He was a real terror in the jungle. He often just roared and killed animals, even when he was not very hungry.

The terrified animals of the jungle one day called for a meeting. “We must put and end to this menace,” Forro fox cried. “But how,” wondered the other animals. “Terro is so big and strong, none of can even touch him. I guess we will have to just live with this, more likely die with this!”

But Buns Rabbit was not the kind to give up. He thought of a plan.

The next day Merry Monkey went to the lion and said, “My majestic lord! You are so mighty, you are lord of us all. But you know what? Buns Rabbit says he has seen someone even more powerful than you.”

Upon hearing this Terro Lion roared. He asked Merry to go and send Buns Rabbit to him.

The clever Buns came up to Terro.

“Hey Buns, you puny fellow,” roared Terro. “What’s all this nonsense about a more powerful lion than me in the jungle?”

Buns said, “My lord, you are indeed mighty. Forgive me, I am just telling what I saw. I saw a huge lion yesterday.”

Terro roared aloud, “Where is he? I will have him for breakfast today! There is no one more mighty than me. Take me to him.”

The clever Buns took Terro to a lake. He then pointed to the water in the lake and said, “My lord, I saw the huge lion cooling off in this lake.”

Terro peeped into the water. He saw his own face in the water. He roared loudly. He saw his image in the water roaring back at him. He was so angry, that he forgot everything, even that he didn’t know how to swim.

“How dare you roar back at mighty me. I will finish you.” He cried and jumped right into the lake. Terro drowned.

Buns Rabbit happily took the news of Terro’s end to the other animals. There was joy in the jungle.

You can tell many such to kids. They enjoy them and slowly understand the morals. Enjoy this and other stories and reading them to a child in your life.
